Investing in our Industry’s Future
The PMA Foundation is fortunate to provide industry members with an opportunity to invest in our industry’s future talent by making us the beneficiary of a gift through bequests, trust agreements, life insurance, retirement accounts, or other forms of planned gifts.
What is Gift Planning?
Gift planning refers to gift arrangements that take into consideration:
- the assets you wish to contribute
- the most advantageous method by which the assets can be contributed
- whether the gift is to be used by the PMA Foundation immediately or sometime in the future
Gift planning helps you, the contributor; make a gift in a way that is compatible with your personal goals, while investing in the future of our industry’s talent pool. There are a variety of gift plans that allow you to:
- make a gift to the PMA Foundation you might not otherwise have thought possible
- take advantage of special tax benefits available to you and your family.
Many gift planning options receive favorable tax treatment under federal and state tax laws. Some of these planned gifts enable you to donate cash or convert appreciated assets into a plan that will provide income to you and/or your spouse or one to two other individuals you select.
Through careful planning you may be able to reduce or eliminate income taxes, capital gains taxes and transfer taxes, such as gift, estate, inheritance and generation-skipping taxes.
The Delaware Community Foundation is staffed with a professional team who is responsible for stewarding and accounting for planned gifts on behalf of the PMA Foundation for Industry Talent.
